[webco-beta] Usage Stats: semester vs. total

Regarding the usage stats on the resource detail/usage tab, they're 
both the same number. I've checked several resource ids: M-3-ES is 71 
days, 11 hours, 26 minutes for semester and total numbers.
Since semester represents the quantity of checkout hours for the 
current semester and total represents all usage from inception, is 
the semester number getting flushed between semesters?
I think I've had this conversation with Adam but I'm not sure if this 
maintenance is taking place. Was this  to be automated, linked with 
the change of semesters? I can't find a bug for it.
