Yes, for both MSIE and Mozilla and Netscape 6.2 or better.

Yes, you do generally need to install that.  I don't know if there are
situations where it is installed by default.

Here's the text on that for Netscape 6 -- we're not even sure of the
procedures for Carbonized MSIE yet:

  I just downloaded and installed Netscape 6 on Mac OS X and Java
  support is NOT there straight "out of the box" ... you need to
  install a MRJ Plugin for Carbon which is available at

  http://homepage.mac.com/pcbeard/MRJPlugin/

  You want the "MRJPluginCarbon-1.0.sit" which goes in the folder
  /Library/Internet Plug-ins/ under OS X.  This will enable Java
  support in both Netscape 6 and Mozilla 1.0.  As far as I can tell
  both of these work fine with WebCheckout.

I'm not actually sure.  It's pretty easy to test whether Microsoft
fixed this bug or not.  It only impacts the confirmation screen -- the
screen *after* the Java screens.
